Academy Location

Maui Surf Academy has the ability to teach at any beach in the Encinitas area from September through May. The City of Encinitas requires a permit to teach surfing from June until August. We have received the summer 2011 city permit to teach at Swami's Beach. Swamis is located at 1240 South Coast Hwy. 101 (approx) in Encinitas, CA. 92024

Swami's Beach is named after the Self-Realization Fellowship Retreat located just north. This Encinitas beach is a sand and reef break that is a great place to surf, dive, and enjoy the tide-pools. The beach is located at the base of the bluffs, where a wooden stairway makes its way down. There is a parking lot at the top inside the Seacliff Roadside Park. The park has grass picnic areas, public restrooms, and a great view of the ocean and coastline. There is parking available in the park and on the Pacific Coast Hwy. 101 just outside. Swami's is a close walk or drive to the shopping and restaurants of downtown Encinitas.
